Internship Qualifications:

A highly self-disciplined and motivated individual, preferably pursuing a Business major. Prior sales experience is helpful.  Required skills include Interpersonal, Persuasion and Communication. 

Internship Description: 

  1. Focus on Marketing and Sales with Professional Account Executives.
  2. Actively help generate new prospects.
  3. Assist Account Executives in converting prospects to clients.
  4. Interface with insurance companies.
  5. Meet or exceed weekly sales’ goals.

Job Qualifications:

A highly self-disciplined, motivated and detail-oriented individual, preferably with a college degree and with at least 5+ years of experience in commercial lines customer service.  Required skills include Interpersonal, Persuasion, Writing, Analytical, Mathematical and Communication.  The Florida Department of Insurance requires  a Property-Casualty agent license for this position.

Job Description:

  1. Maintain and update client survey information for each commercial account and coordinate with Producers in managing the accounts.
  2. Coordinate loss control and safety engineers.
  3. Manage/process new business, renewals, cancellation and endorsement requests.
  4. Determine unprotected exposures and solicit additional coverage from new and existing clients.
  5. Market accounts and maintain close relations with insurance company personnel.
  6. Pursue a program for personal and professional development.
  7. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
